             The Hollow Crown

昨天有幸一睹BBC的The Hollow Crown,虽然只看完了第一部 Richard II，但感触和震撼还是蛮深刻的。以下。

Here,cousin,seize the crown. 

Here,cousin!

On this side my hand,and on that side thine. 

Now is this golden crown like a deep well 

That owes two buckets,filling one another;

The emptier ever dancing in the air,

The other down,unseen,and full of water. 

That bucket down and full of tears am I,

Drinking my griefs,whilst you mount up on 

high.

这儿，贤弟，把王冠拿住了；

这边是我的手，那边是你的手。

现在这一顶黄金的宝冠就像一口深井，

两个吊桶一上一下地向这井中汲水；

那空的一桶总是在空中跳跃，

满的一桶却在底下不给人瞧见；

我就是那下面的吊桶，充满着泪水，

在那儿饮泣吞声，

你却在高空之中顾盼自雄。
